Alfred had many close friends, including those in the photo at the top of every page of this website, which shows him with his father, Freddie Trenkler, and five friends from Milton during a trip to see the Ice Capades.

Alfred handled the lights and sound for annual variety shows at the Milton-Hoosic Club in Milton.
